We Build Our Way to Security

The answer to both pressures is a stronger American base that keeps competing in the world. That means rebuilding the research, talent, review speed, and capital that made American medicine the global leader, and keeping American science working with the partners who share its standards.

The two pressures feed each other, which is why the answer cannot wait. A weaker base at home is easier to outpace from abroad, and a stronger rival abroad makes every gap at home cost more. Research lost takes a decade to rebuild, talent that leaves rarely comes back, and a supply chain that concentrated over years cannot be restored in a season.

Walling the country off would cut American science away from the world's fastest-moving research and leave American drug development working blind. The disciplined path is verification. Confirm what meets American standards, engage what passes, and keep out the rest.
